Who are you?

Our names our Chris Celona and Ethan Shalaway. We met in school in 2014 while we went to college together briefly, and have remained close friends since then.

Where are you from and where do you live?

We are both from the United States. Chris was born in Rhode Island and currently lives there. Ethan was born in Pennsylvania and lives in Alabama.

When did you begin the Instagram page?

Our Instagram page was founded on February 1st, 2016.

Who is your favorite grunge band?

We think they are all great, and they all bring something unique to the table. We do not like to get into the business of comparison - they are all very special and you should enjoy everything they all have to offer without making it a competition!

Do you take post requests?

It is hard for us to post everything everyone suggests, but we do read all of the messages we receive (even if we do not respond), and we are always happy to hear your suggestions!

Where can I find your writing on this website?

Most of our writing can be found on the ‘Blog’ page, accessed via the top toolbar. Our interviews will be found on the ‘Interview’ page, also accessed via the top toolbar.

Why do you post so much Pearl Jam?

Because… we really like Pearl Jam!

What is a ‘Midnight Special’?

A ‘Midnight Special’ is a post series we began in January 2019, in order to share music that does not fall under the grunge label. We enjoy all kinds of music, and we like to share that music with you. Who knows, maybe you can discover something new you like!

Will you listen to or promote my new music?

Please send us a DM or a detailed email with your information and we will talk via email. Email is best. Chances are, if the email or message is hastily thrown together and only says something like, “Hey. Check out my new music”, we will not check out your new music. See the ‘Contact Us’ tab for our address.

What is your favorite part about running the page?

Getting to share in the music that we all love with each of you.

What is your least favorite part about running the page?

Seeing people being disrespectful on our posts, and people who come to comment “THIS ISN’T GRUNGE, WHY IS IT ON YOUR PAGE?!?!?!” on our posts.

Do you like Creed?

Everyone always wants to know our opinion of the band Creed. We will answer it this way… There are two kinds of people in this world: Those who have jammed out to a Creed song, and liars.
